Caray helps you track ingredients, plan meals, and cook from what you have — all stored locally on your device.
Getting started
When you first open Caray, sign in with Apple or register with an email and password. You must be at least 18 years old. Complete your profile with a display name and optional photo, then explore the main tabs.
Open Fridge, tap +, and add ingredients with purchase and expiry dates. Caray reminds you before food goes bad. You can attach photos and organize items by category.
Visit Cook to browse recipe ideas matched to ingredients in your fridge. Create your own recipes with photos and steps, then open them from the planner.
Use Planner to schedule breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Today and past days are always available. Future days can be unlocked using in-app coins or an active VIP subscription.
Claim your daily check-in reward from the overlay on the home screen when it appears. Consistent check-ins and completed meal plans can earn additional coins over time.
Account & settings
View your profile, coin balance, VIP status, and shortcuts to the Coin Shop. Edit your nickname, bio, age, and profile photo from profile settings.
Open Me → Settings to adjust expiry warning days, manage ingredient categories, restore purchases, read legal documents, sign out, or delete your local account.
Caray stores accounts locally on your device. Sign out to switch accounts or register a new one. Each account keeps its own fridge, recipes, and meal plans.
Coins, VIP & purchases
Coins are in-app currency used for features such as extra fridge entries, additional recipe slots, and unlocking future planner days. They have no cash value and cannot be transferred outside Caray.
VIP unlocks premium benefits such as extended planner access and other perks shown on the VIP screen. Subscriptions are billed through the App Store or Google Play and renew automatically until you cancel in your store account settings.
If you reinstall Caray or move to a new device, open Settings → Restore Purchases while signed in with the same store account used for the original purchase. Non-consumable entitlements such as VIP can be restored; already-spent coins cannot.
FAQ
No. Ingredients, meal plans, recipes, and settings stay on your device in a local database. Uninstalling the app or clearing its data may permanently remove information unless your device backup includes app data.
Check that expiry dates are set correctly on each ingredient and that notification permissions for Caray are enabled in your device settings. Reminder timing follows the warning-day preference in Settings.
Caray needs camera or photo library permission to attach images. Go to your device Settings, find Caray, and enable the required permissions, then try again.
Make sure you are signed into the same Apple ID or Google account used for the original purchase, then tap Restore Purchases in Settings. VIP and other non-consumable items can be restored; spent coins are not re-granted.
Open Me → Settings and use the account deletion option. This removes your local account and associated data from the device. Because data is not stored on our servers, we cannot delete it remotely for you.
Caray is intended for users aged 18 and older. Age confirmation is required during registration.
